The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the Republic of Turkey and Kosovo was signed on 27 September 2013 in Ankara and entered into force on 1 September 2019.

With Turkey-Kosovo FTA, tariff and non-tariff barriers for trade were eliminated in trade between the Parties. Also, Agreement regulates numerous subjects such as sanitary and phytosanitary measures, technical regulations, intellectual property, rules of origin, internal taxation, anti-dumping and countervailing measures, safeguards, and balance of payments measures.

Under the FTA, industrial concessions which had been previously provided by Turkey are consolidated. In addition, Kosovo will eliminate all customs duties on industrial goods which are listed in Annex II.2. in 9 years after the entry into force of the FTA.

Agricultural concessions of both Parties are laid down in Annex II.3 of the Agreement.

The products which will benefit from the preferential tariffs should fulfil the rules of origin set out in Annex II.1 of the Agreement.
