In May 2026, the euro area seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.2%, stable compared with April 2026 and down from 6.3% in May 2025. The EU unemployment rate was 5.9% in May 2026, also stable compared with April 2026 and down from 6.0% in May 2025.
