In April 2025, the euro area seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.2%, down from 6.3% in March 2025 and from 6.4% in April 2024. The EU unemployment rate was 5.9% in April 2025, stable compared with March 2025 and down from 6.0% in April 2024. These figures are published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
Eurostat estimates that 12.902 million persons in the EU, of whom 10.680 million in the euro area, were unemployed in April 2025.
