Annual Inflation Down to 2.2% in the Euro Area in March 2025

The Euro Area annual inflation rate was 2.2% in March 2025, down from 2.3% in February. A year earlier, the rate was 2.4%. European Union annual inflation was 2.5% in March 2025, down from 2.7% in February. A year earlier, the rate was 2.6%. These figures are published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.

In March 2025, the highest contribution to the annual Euro Area inflation rate came from services (+1.56 percentage points, pp), followed by food, alcohol & tobacco (+0.57 pp), non-energy industrial goods (+0.16 pp) and energy (-0.10 pp).
