Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported that retail sales volumes are estimated to have fallen by 0.5% in July 2026. This follows a rise of 0.7% in June 2026. In July 2026, sales volumes rose by 1.6% compared with July 2025.

Sales volumes rose by 1.1% in the three months to July 2026 compared with the three months to April 2026, an increase of 3.0% compared with the three months to July 2025.
