Producer prices in Japan rose by 0.8% YoY in October 2023, slowing from an upwardly revised 2.2% gain in the prior month. This was the lowest producer inflation since the deflation in February 2021, marking the tenth straight month of a slowdown in the reading. Monthly, producer prices shrank 0.4%, the fifth decline so far this year.
