04 May 2023

In the IMF Regional Economic Outlook Report, it is estimated that China will generate 34.9%, India 15.4% and Europe 7.1% of global growth in 2023. As of 2023, growth in Asia and the Pacific Region is projected to increase to 4.6% from 3.8% in 2022. This means the region would contribute around 70 percent of global growth. Asia’s dynamism will be driven primarily by the recovery in China and resilient growth in India, while growth in the rest of Asia is expected to bottom out in 2023, in line with other regions.
