Germany's Exports Declined by 1.2% YoY and Increased By 1.7% MoM in July 2024

In July 2024, German exports were up 1.7% and imports rose by 5.4% on a calendar and seasonally adjusted basis compared with June 2024. Based on provisional data, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that exports decreased by 1.2% and imports fell by 0.1% compared with July 2023.

The foreign trade balance showed a surplus of 16.8 billion euros in July 2024. The calendar and seasonally adjusted surplus stood at 20.4 billion euros in June 2024 and 18.3 billion euros in July 2023.
