The current account of the euro area recorded a surplus of €23 billion in September 2025, an increase of €1 billion from the previous month. Current account surplus amounted to €306 billion (2.0% of euro area GDP) in the 12 months to September 2025, down from €414 billion (2.7%) one year earlier.
