According to data published by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the inflation rate in Germany, measured as the year-on-year change in the consumer price index (CPI), stood at +2.2% in March 2025. The inflation rate was +2.3% in both February and January 2025. Compared with February 2025, consumer prices rose by 0.3% in March 2025. The inflation rate excluding food and energy, often referred to as core inflation, was +2.6% in March 2025.
