China's official NBS Manufacturing PMI unexpectedly fell to 50.1 in December 2024 from November’s seven-month high and market estimates of 50.3.
 
Output grew the least in four months (52.1 vs 52.4 in November), while new orders rose the most since April (51.0 vs 50.8). Additionally, buying activity increased for the second consecutive month, with the sharpest rate since March (51.5 vs 51.0).
