China Manufacturing PMI Index Declined to 49.4 in November

In November, the China Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) declined to 49.4%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month, indicating a slight contraction in the prosperity level of the manufacturing industry.

Analyzing the sub-indices, that constitute the manufacturing PMI, the production index and supplier delivery time index are remained above the critical threshold, whereas the new orders index, the raw material inventory index, and the employment index were below it.

In November, the Non-Manufacturing Business Activity Index was recorded at 50.2%, down by 0.4 percentage points from the previous month, yet still higher above the critical threshold, suggesting continued expansion in the non-manufacturing sector.
