In April 2026, the euro area seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.3%, stable compared with March 2026 as well as with April 2025. The EU unemployment rate was 6.0% in April 2026, also stable compared with March 2026 and with April 2025. These figures are published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
In April 2026, the youth unemployment rate was 15.1% in the EU, down from 15.6% in the previous month, and 14.7% in the euro area, also down from 15.1% in March 2026.
