Monthly production output was estimated to have fallen by 0.9% in April 2024; this follows a rise of 0.2% in March 2024 and 1.0% in February 2024.
 
The monthly decrease in output for April 2024 resulted from a fall of 1.4% in "manufacturing"; this was partially offset by rises in “water supply and sewerage” (1.3%), “mining and quarrying" (0.8%) and "electricity and gas" (0.5%).
