Export and Import Expectation Indices realized for the 4th quarter of 2019.
07 October, 2019 - Foreign Trade Expectation Survey (FTES) reflects assessments of Turkish leading foreign trade firms regarding recent and current situations along with their future expectations. Particularly, it helps to produce indices that can be stated as leading indicators.
Export Expectation Index realized as 108.9 in the 4th quarter of 2019. Diffusion indices of survey questions composing the Export Expectation Index show that, in the 4th quarter of 2019, the level of current export orders (79.4) have decreasing effect over the Index while expectations regarding exports (130.5) and export orders for the next 3 months (125.7) and the export orders of the last 3 months (100.1) have increasing effect over the Index.
Import Expectation Index realized as 96.5 in the 4th quarter of 2019. In the 4th quarter of 2019, among the survey questions identifying the Import Expectation Index, the expectations regarding the level of imports for the next 3 months (95.6) and current level of import orders (75.2) have decreasing effect over the Index while the expectations regarding import unit price for the next 3 months (104.5) and the level of import orders of the last 3 months (110.7) have increasing effect over the Index.
